
Mehdi Raza consultant Upper GI and general surgeon
Mr. Raza is an experienced laparoscopic upper GI and general surgeon at the Broomfield and Southend University Hospitals. He has undergone surgical training in various institutions in Kent, Surrey and London.
He passed his FRCS in 2016 and also has a Masters in Surgical Practice from the University of Kent. He has been working as an Upper GI and general surgical consultant since 2017 before moving to the Mid and South Essex NHS trust. He is interested in innovations and quality improvement in surgical practice and minimally invasive surgery and has published numerous publications in peer reviewed journals.
At the Broomfield and Southend Hospitals, he performs elective and emergency benign upper GI and general surgical procedures. He has performed more than 3000 laparoscopic gallbladder surgeries and 3000 groin hernia surgeries.
